When sterilization is complete, the plastic-coated jar lifter clutches jars tightly in its tongs and lifts them out of hot water without risk of slippage or burning while the magnetized vinyl-coated jar lifter safely removes the lids. The kit also includes a heavy-duty stainless-steel ladle for spooning stewed fruits or vegetables into the stainless-steel wide-mouth funnel and siphoning it into your jars. A long plastic tong frees bubbles from the jars before you seal them and a jar wrench, also vinyl-coated, tightens lids with force while simultaneously keeping hands cool and providing a firm grip.
